This website is operated by Your Virtual Orthodontist, Inc. ("YVO," "we," "us"). These Website Terms apply to your use of it.

They apply to this public website only. They are not the agreements that govern YVO's services to a dental practice.

What this website is for

This website describes YVO's services to dental practices and dental professionals considering them.

The information on it is general information about our services. It is not orthodontic, dental, medical, legal or business advice, and it is not a substitute for professional judgement about an individual patient.

This website is not intended for emergency care or emergency clinical consultation.

Get Started enquiries

The Get Started form sends an enquiry to YVO. Submitting it does not by itself:

• create a YVO account;
• establish a client or practice relationship with YVO;
• guarantee that YVO will accept the practice;
• activate a practice to submit cases; or
• establish a professional-services relationship.

We review each enquiry and decide whether to proceed. If we do, the practice enters a separate invitation and onboarding process, and the applicable YVO agreements govern the relationship from that point.

Please provide accurate information about your practice, and please do not include patient names or other patient information in an enquiry.

The professional relationship

YVO provides orthodontic consultation and case support to treating dentists.

The Treating Dentist maintains the direct dentist-patient relationship, exercises independent professional judgment, and retains final decision-making authority regarding the patient's treatment. Patient communication and direct patient care remain with the treating practice.

Using this website does not create a dentist-patient relationship between YVO and any patient, and does not create a professional relationship between YVO and a visiting dentist.

Using this website

Please use this website for its intended purpose. Do not use it unlawfully, interfere with its operation or security, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to any YVO system, submit false or deceptive information, or extract its content systematically without our authorisation.

Access to the authenticated YVO platform is limited to authorised users of practices that have a relationship with YVO.

Intellectual property

YVO or its licensors own this website and the YVO content on it, including text, designs, graphics and branding, other than materials owned by third parties.

You may view this website and link to it. Please do not reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially use YVO content except as permitted by law or as we expressly authorise.

Third-party names and trademarks

This website refers to clear-aligner systems and other products provided by companies that are not YVO, including Invisalign and Angel Aligner. Those names and marks belong to their respective owners.

A reference to a product or system on this website does not imply that its manufacturer sponsors, endorses, is affiliated with or has a partnership with YVO, except where YVO states that such a relationship exists.

Availability and content

We make this website available on a reasonable-efforts basis and do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

We may change, add to or remove content and features as our services develop. What appears here describes YVO's services as offered at the time of posting; it is not a commitment that a particular service or system will be available to a particular practice.

The information on this website is general information. We do not guarantee that it is complete, current or appropriate to a particular practice's circumstances.

Nothing in these Website Terms limits an obligation or a professional duty that cannot lawfully be limited, including a professional duty that applicable law independently imposes on YVO, a YVO orthodontist, a practice or a treating dentist.

Relationship to YVO's other agreements

Once a practice or an individual enters the YVO relationship, that relationship is governed by the applicable YVO agreements, including the Professional Services Agreement, the Business Associate Agreement, the Platform Terms of Use and the Clinical Responsibility Acknowledgment.

Those agreements are accepted separately. Nothing in these Website Terms replaces, modifies or waives any of them, and where one of them applies, it controls.

Governing law

These Website Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except to the extent federal law or another applicable law controls.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Website Terms from time to time. The version posted on this website is the current one, and the effective date above shows when it last changed.
